It’s been a long time since the end of the trip and much has happened in our country. I won’t even attempt to capture what has happened.
Regarding the Bike Listening Tour, our group members continue to get together and share stories as well rides around Tucson.
Vanessa Barchfield, from Arizona Public Media (AzPM) created an outstanding piece about our trip that you can view (go to http://www.azpm.org and search for “Miles to Go”).
I hope you enjoy watching it – it’s less than 10 minutes.
Very informative [and sometimes scenic] tour of the battleground states of the Midwest.
Did you plan your route based on the âswing voteâ potential states?
Seems you confirmed:
* Polarized USA
* Personal, rather than societal, perspective of most folks
* Paucity of knowledge of the complexities of US health care

Hola Pablo!
Finally got to have a look at the piece AzPM did on you and the Bike Listening Tour. It was very cool to see you guys riding, explaining the goals of the two tours and describing what it was like. I really enjoyed seeing and hearing you guys. The effort and passion you put into the project (and the cycling) were really apparent. Congratulations on the conversations and perspectives you’ve lent to the Healthcare debate. (And also on riding very very far.)
I am continuing to ride but it’s a little amorphous without actual events for which to train. Right now I am thinking about doing a big gravel bike event in February and a friend and I have the ridiculous idea to do a double century in one day. We know a number of people who’ve done it. It’s ostensibly an eating & drinking contest for 13-14 hours.
Thanks for sending on the link. Keep rocking those bolos and thank you Blue Arizonians!!!
Best,
Bob
